Flint's Water Crisis
Taking away access to clean water is an obstruction of justice. The residents of Flint, Michigan, deserve more than empty promises.

Though Flint officials have said the water is clean to drink, there still have been many pipes that are not updated. Thousands of residents still continue to use the water from the lead pipes.

Years of inaction, corruption, injustice...

Flint is a city where many residents live below the poverty line (42%). The demographic of Flint, Michigan, has a black majority (54%) What seems to be happening is not only corruption, but systemic racism as well.

The children of Flint have unfairly suffered consequences of the lead levels in the water.

Childhood lead exposure can result in irreversible damage to the brain, nervous system, and other severe health concerns. Even very low levels of lead can result in dire consequences in young children. About 6,000-12,000 young children have been exposed to the lead in the water.
